Google has implemented many search tricks into their popular search engine. These tricks can also be used on YouTube and other Google websites. The copy and pastable search tricks are listed below.

Exact search

Use quotation marks around the term to minimize the guesswork for Google Search. This tells the search engine to search for the whole phrase.

"Google Wiki"

Excluding words

Use a hyphen to tell Google to ignore content with one of the other. For example, if you want to search for just mustang horses and not cars use the syntax below:

Mustang -cars

File directory listings

"intitle: index of" (Find files: (type in what searching for) filetype:(file extension)

Search a website

The syntax below will search for articles or content on a certain website. All other search results will be removed. For example:

site:(name of site) (trying to find)

Conversion

In place of the words in parenthesis put what it says and remove the parentheses.

(conversion) in (conversion type)

Movie Times

In place of the words in parenthesis put what it says and remove the parentheses.

movie:(name of movie)(zip code)
